Mark Twain och Chuck Norris

neh, jag har inte dött eller rest till månen.
Det har varit lite mindre fri Gibbs energi tillgängligt för bloggeriet dock. Senaste ?typ månaden har varit mest ganska lite sömn, en massa besvär och ännu mera jobb. Tyvärr har en stor del av min energi gått åt till att hitta på nya forskningsprojekt för att ja inte ska behöva belasta min arbetsgivare med sådana saker som att betala lön.
Därmed ska jag nu ta mig an ansvaret för att bota prostata cancer. Synd att jag inte kom in på detta spår tidigare för jag kunde ha räddat Dennis Hopper som gick bort pga PCa som vi kallar det. Och skulle det ha varit coolt.
Det enda som kunde vara coolare skulle vara att bota Chuck Norris, och vi vet ju alla att Chuck Norris inte får cancer. Cancer kan däremot få Chuck Norris.
Jag skulle ge min vänstra (eller högra) testickel för att få ta ett cellprov av Chuck Norris.

Detta leder till årets fråga:

En del movers inom veteskaperna har tycket att det är coolt att sekvensera sitt genom (och vi prata nu inte om 23andme). Dom 2 mest kända är Craig Venter och Stephen Quake, dessutom har några miljonärer gjort nåt ditåt, tex Dan Stoicescu.
Who Cares!
Vi vill ju för fasen sekvensera Chuck Norris. Det är som att sekvensera Jesus (också en bra ide), eller Mohammed (kanske en bra ide men om man inte får rita en bild på honom så är det väl out of the question).

Research Proposal.

Intent:
The intent of the proposed research is to generate a comprehensive full sequence of the 2 most important individuals of mankind. The result of the project will yield the so called Perfect Reference Genome or PRG for all other sequences and polymorfisms to be compared to. Undisputedly these 2 individuals has to be Chuck Norris and Sir Jesus (the presumed prefix Jesus is added since it is obvious that he would have been knighted (Sir Elton et al 2002)
Patient material and informed consent:
Chuck Norris is alive and is expected to give consent. Since its Chuck Norris anything he does is informed.
Jesus can be sequenced from samples derived from the Shroud of Turin. It is a forgone conclusion that he has already given informed consent, as he practically did the same for taking all our sins through ritual crucifixion (Herodes et al 34).
Expected technical hurdles:
The most significant technical hurdle is to produce a material sharp and durable enough to penetrate the arm of Chuck Norris, on the other hand we believe that Chuck has already built one. In addition the fallback plan is to have Chuck the subject dictate his 9 billion basepairs to our secretary.
